Still working hard as we transition from campaigning to working with my fellow Trustees and all stakeholders to address the issues facing the Native Hawaiian community. My Hawaii Island “Sign Take Down” Committee Chair and Vice Chair were in Hilo- and had to use a jack to get the iron post that held up our sign all these months outside KTA Puainako. We ended our mission working mauka and makai of the land of Pauahi in our hometown, Waimea.
Mahalo nui to all of those who supported my campaign and I am humbled by the confidence the voters had in my consistent message and commitment to address the issues that impact the quality of life for families on Hawai’i Island and across the State. I know the struggles and challenges we all are facing right now and want our children to have a bright future full of possibilities.
